چکیده
Tissue-equivalent phantoms are suitable tools for radiation dosimetry investigations. The goal of this study was to determine the scattered dose in a simple phantom model mouse with xenographic tumour using experimental measurements and Monte-Carlo calculations. We manufactured cubic polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) an extrusion on its side both normal tissue xenograft tumour-bearing mouse. positioned novel add-on collimator, designed by our research group, enable targeted irradiation 20 Gy a137Cs gamma irradiator. EBT3 GAFchromic film utilized measure distribution within phantom. EGSnrc MC code used simulate system calculate comparison measurements. Good agreement observed between simulation results based index analysis. demonstrate that out field (dose tissue) is order 8–9% prescribed when irradiating Our physical useful tool assess tumours.

Scattered Dose Calculations and Measurements in a Life-Like Mouse Phantom.
Anatomically accurate phantoms are useful tools for radiation dosimetry studies. In this work, we demonstrate the construction of a new generation of life-like mouse phantoms in which the methods have been generalized to be applicable to the fabrication of any small animal. The mouse phantoms, with built-in density inhomogeneity, exhibit different scattering behavior dependent on where the radi...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Experimental evaluation of midline dose calculation methods in In vivo dosimetry using anatomic thorax phantom
Background: In vivo dosimetry is a method for estimation of overall error in the delivered dose to the patients at the end of radiotherapy process. In this research, two methods for target dose calculation were evaluated on midline and central axis of photon beams in in vivo dosimetry of thorax fields. Materials and Methods: Entrance and exit doses for anterior and lateral fields of thorax were...
متن کاملAssessment of a 2D EPID-based Dosimetry Algorithm for Pre-treatment and In-vivo Midplane Dose Verification
Introduction: The use of electronic portal imaging devices (EPIDs) is a method for the dosimetric verification of radiotherapy plans both pretreatment and in-vivo. The aim of this study was to test a 2D EPID-based dosimetry algorithm for dose verification of some plans inside a homogenous and anthropomorphic phantom and in-vivo, as well. Materials and Methods: </strong...
متن کاملDose distribution and dosimetry parameters calculation of MED3633 palladium-103 source in water phantom using MCNP
Background: Palladium-103 (103Pd) is a brachytherapy source for cancer treatment. The Monte Carlo codes are usually applied for dose distribution and effect of shieldings. Monte Carlo calculation of dose distribution in water phantom due to a MED3633 103Pd source is presented in this work. Materials and Methods: The dose distribution around the 103Pd Model MED3633 located in the center of 30×...
